All assignments are due at the beginning of class on assigned dates unless the teacher is notified prior to due date. All late work is graded an automatic 10% less, after the class period and then each day late.

PLAGIARISM: Copying someone else's written presentation/words (this includes your text and other books/encyclopedias/CD-ROMs/Internet sources) and handed in as YOUR work will result in a zero on the assignment in question.  Please check out the following sites that explain how to present YOUR own work at Indiana University or Purdue Online Writing Labs.

PLEDGE: All homework MUST conclude with the pledge. All tests and quizzes will include the pledge. The PLEDGE will be written in its proper form... "I have neither accepted or given any help on this work..."

Rewrites:  Blue books will be given back for review by students but then will be returned to teacher.  Anyone who wishes to do a rewrite must do it during a free period.  The rewrite will be handwritten in the blue book and the only notes you may use are the attached rubric's content.

For those of you wishing to redo a multiple choice test the same rules apply.  You may not take the test home, corrections must be made during a free period.  Where as the essay must be completed in one period the multiple choice test you may correct during as many periods needed.  You may use the book for multiple choice corrections.

Extra Credit:  There are various opportunities for extra credit.  One way is reading one of three possible books for Trimester I and one of two books in Trimester II (possible 20 points per book).  Students are encouraged to attend the ICI's Forums and various athletic events (total possible points is 12 per trimester).

It is YOUR responsibility to ask your teacher for missed work. Make-up tests will be in the Upper School’s office. Those tests missed because of illness will have a 2 day grace period in which a makeup test MUST be taken. After two days if the test is not taken it will be removed from the make-up folder. If there are extenuating circumstances, these need to be discussed with the teacher immediately. An unexcused absence will result in a zero.

Excused absences, such as field trips, sports, or family trips require that assigned work be handed in the day before you leave OR the day of return, otherwise it is late. Tests missed because of same reasons MUST be taken the day prior to leaving or in the case of sports events during the test day in any available class period (see teacher).
