The United States History Honors course promotes a general understanding of the dominant pattern of American thought from colonial times to the present.  Students consider broad problems manifested in the past and use their critical thinking skills in analyzing original documents, maps and other relevant available information pertaining to the time periods as well  as today.

United States History is a required class that is normally taken by students in the 10th grade.  The course covers United States History from when the earliest immigrants crossed the Bering Strait from Asia up until today with current event discussions.

Additional exciting and useful websites are on the bulletin board in class...but try this one, America's Library.  Need to check out a location?  Try this one for MAPS.  Try the Library of Congress for any historical info.

work is graded an automatic 10% less, EACH day late. This schedule is subject to

    change with notice.

Quizzes may be given at ANY time. You are to read the chapters when

   resources.

Plagiarism:  Copying someone else's written presentation/words ( this includes your text and other books/encyclopedias/CD-ROMS/Internet sources) and handed in as your work will result in a zero on the assignment in question.

Pledge:  All homework must conclude with the pledge.  All tests and quizzes will include the pledge.  The Pledge will be written in its proper form..."I have neither accepted nor given any help on this work..."

** Missed Work:  ALL work must be made up within THREE class days or it will be a ZERO.

It is YOUR responsibility to ask your teacher for missed work and to get your
