Text: America, Pathways to the Present
The United States History Honors course promotes a general understanding of the dominant pattern of American thought from colonial times to the present. Students consider broad problems manifested in the past and use their critical thinking skills in analyzing original documents, maps and other relevant available information pertaining to the time periods as well as today.
United States History is a required class that is normally taken by students in the 10th grade. The course covers United States History from when the earliest immigrants crossed the Bering Strait from Asia up until today with current event discussions.
